Introduction
Pine Mountain Music is a company based out of the scenic mountain town of Clintwood, Virginia! We’re here to serve the needs of working musicians, hobbyists, and those interested in learning! Our work is centered around our workshop in the hills surrounding The Town of Clintwood, where we repair instruments and build them for our brand Fawn Musical Instruments and Refurb.
Who We Are
Pierceton Hobbs is our chief repair person and instructor. His interest started when he had his first job at Juste Music in Norton, Virginia as a teenager where he learned how to play and work on instruments. He’s an avid problem solver and loves a good challenge!
What We Do
At Pine Mountain Music, we specialize in repair services for your musical instruments as well as music lessons on most stringed instruments! A few examples of services we offer for your instruments include: set-ups, string-changes, nut and saddle replacements, pickup and jack installations, tuner replacements, as well as other specific attention your instrument may need.
We keep strings and accessories on hand for your convenience and set up at local flea markets weekly. More extensive repairs can be referred to the expertise within our Fawn Musical Instruments & Refurb department (where you can also commission custom builds).
Music lessons occur in thirty-minute timeslots once a week. We can host you at our workshop or wherever is most convenient! A few examples of instruments we teach include: guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, drums, bass, ukulele, piano, as well as singing.
